Limited Edition Print: Swiss GP – Caracciola – 1938 Rainmaster
The Mercedes W154 was specially designed for the european season of 1938. Designer Rudolf Ahlenhaut had adapted the W125 to meet the new regulations. Driver Rudolf Caracciola won the European Championship with force. The victory during the rainy GP of Switzerland was 1 of the highlights. During this race, the three ' Silver arrows ' directly took the lead, which led into a complete silver podium.
Artist John Ketchell is internationally known. He is an automotive artist who has received many assignments from both private and well known companies. When you look at Ketchell's work you see that speed intrigues him. His semi-abstract style gives us all a lot of freedom to interpret the art piece. At a young age, John was already gripped by racing, especially the Talbot-Lago GP soon became his favorite. After Art school in Preston, John soon became a professional artist.
