During the Formula One season of 1985, McLaren and Williams were the ' teams to beat '. During his first season, Ayrton Senna often competed with the top cars. He even succeeded in winning his first victory at the Estoril circuit. Later that season, he also won the GP of Belgium at Spa-Francorchamps. This victory at SPA was his first of a total of 5 wins on this circuit.
