Porsche 718RSK, a real light weight racer
The Porsche 718 RSK was developed with the Formula 2 and Formula 1 championships in in mind. In the end the car raced in several famous races like the Targa Florio and of course the 24h of Le Mans . In 1958 the car finished 3rd overall during the Le Mans race . In 1959 the Targa Florio was won with drivers Edgar Barth and Wolfgang Seidel.
The French artist Stephane Dufour has found a very idiosyncratic way to immortalize these iconic models. It starts with making the basic design, which is completely made of clay. Using the clay design, a mould is created, which is later used to create a small and limited series. The coloured resin is poured into inthe mould and, after curing, the product is carefully sanded to obtain a completely smooth surface.
The designs are unique in its kind and have a strong premiumappearance, ideal for in living room, study room or office.
