Description
Porsche 718RSK, a real light weight racer
The Porsche 718 RSK was developed with the Formula 2 and Formula 1 championship in mind. Ultimately, the car raced in several well-known races such as the Targa Florio and, of course, the 24h of Le Mans. In 1958, the car finished 3rd overall at the Le Mans race. In 1959, it won the Targa Florio with drivers Edgar Barth and Wolfgang Seidel.
French artist Stephane Dufour has found a very quirky way to immortalise these iconic models. It starts by creating the basic design, which is made entirely of clay. Using the clay design, a mould is created, which is later used in making a small and limited series. The coloured casting resin is poured into the mould and after curing, the product is carefully sanded to achieve a completely smooth surface.
The designs are one of a kind and have a strong premium look, ideal for in living room, study room or office.
