Description
Tom Havlasek's is fascinated by great champions from Formula 1, LeMans or Rally. This canvas is an ode to Gilles Villeneuve who inspired him to dedicate a beautiful series to him and the Ferrari F1 team.
In 1978, Gilles Villeuve was able to drive for Ferrari's tem and won at his home race at the Montreal circuit. Over the next few years, he won a total of six races and was known for his 'do or die' driving style. Villeuve always went full steam ahead and, as a result, did not always get along with his teammates. Emotions between him and Didier Pironi, among others, ran high after the Imola GP where Pironi ignored team orders and overtook Villeneuve to run away with victory. Villeueneve decided never to exchange another 1 word with Pironi, which he unfortunately took very literally. On 8 May 1982, Gilles Villeneuve gloats at the Zolder circuit during the final qualifying session.
