Tom Havlasek's is fascinated by great champions of Formula 1, LeMans or rally . This canvas is an ode to Gilles Villeneuve, who inspired him to dedicate a beautiful series to him and the Ferrari F1 team.
In 1978 Gilles Villeuve could drive for the tem of Ferrari and won during his home race at the circuit of Montreal. During the next years he won in a total of 6 races and was known for his 'do or die' driving style. Villeuve always went for it full force and therefore did not always get along with his teammates. Emotions between him and Didier Pironi and others ran high after the Imola GP where Pironi ignored team orders and overtook Villeneuve to take the win. Villeueneve decided never to exchange another word with Pironi, which he unfortunately took very literally. On May 8, 1982, Gilles Villeneuve agitated on the circuit of Zolder during the last qualification.
