Description
The mid-1970s were the successful years for Niki Lauda. In 1975, he won his first world championship with Ferrari and in 1976 he seemed well on his way to adding a second. His accident at the Nurburgring in 1976 shocked the motorsport world and himself. He missed several races but fought his way back to fight for the championship in the final races.
James Hunt actually had a very strong series in the second half of the season and took all the risks. Certainly even the last GP at the Fuji circuit was decided by this. The race was started under very bad conditions and after a few laps Niki Lauda stopped in the pits because it was too dangerous. The race continued and was won by James Hunt, who thus became champion by 1 point.
Tom Havlasek has honoured all the great champions with a portrait. Besides this one of Niki Lauda, limited editions of James Hunt, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher are also available from Vintage Seedworks.
