"Every car can become alegend
Old legends revive with the art of AfterTheRace. Designs and stripings of legendary cars and races are brought back to life in a unique and detailed way. The works of art deserve a prominent place ineveryone's living room, study or office.
This artwork was created in honour of Gilles Villeuve and his Ferrari 126C. From 1978 Villeneuve drove for the team of Ferrari and immediately won his home race at the circuit of Montreal. During the next years he won in a total of 6 races and was mostly known for his 'do or die' driving style. Villeneuve always went flat out and therefore did not always get along with his teammate. For example, emotions ran high between him and Didier Pironi after the Imola GP where Pironi ignored a team order and overtook Villeneuve to take the win. Villeneuve decided never to speak a word to Pironi again, which he unfortunately took very literally.
On May 8th 1982, Gilles Villeneuve dies on the track of Zolder during the qualification session.
