'Every car can become a legend'
Old legends revived with the art of AfterTheRace. Designs and stripings of legendary cars and races are brought back to life in a completely unique and detailed way. The artworks deserve a prominent place in everyone's living room, study or office.
This artwork was created in honour of Gilles Villeuve and his Ferrari 126C. From 1978, Villeneuve drove for the Ferrari team and immediately won his home race at the Montreal circuit. Over the next few years, he won a total of six races and was best known for his 'do or die' driving style. Villeneuve always went flat out and, as a result, did not always get along with his teammate. Emotions between him and Didier Pironi ran high after the Imola GP, for instance, where Pironi ignored a team order and overtook Villeneuve to run away with victory. Villeneuve decided never to exchange another 1 word with Pironi, which he unfortunately took very literally.
On 8 May 1982, Gilles Villeneuve retaliated at the Zolder circuit during the last qualifying session.
