Limited Edition Print: Le Mans 1971 - Porsche 917K
The Le Mans Race of 1971 was the fastest of all time for 39 years. Gijs van Lennep and Helmut Matko won the race with the famous Porsche 917K (Kurz heck) with a stunning distance of 397 laps and 5335 Km. The beautiful 917 with Martini livery was built with a magnesium tube frame and in 1971 even outrun the rapid Long Tail.
Artist John Ketchell is internationally known. He is an automotive artist who has received many assignments from both private and well known companies. When you look at Ketchell's work you see that speed intrigues him. His semi-abstract style gives us all a lot of freedom to interpret the art piece. At a young age, John was already gripped by racing, especially the Talbot-Lago GP soon became his favorite. After Art school in Preston, John soon became a professional artist.
