The Ferrari250 GTO was produced between 1962 and 1964. It was inthe basis for a homologation version for the FIA's Group 3 championship. The GTO was powered by the Tipo 168/62 V12 engine. Its name is a combination of the cylinder capacity and also the abbreviation GTO which means "gran turismo omologato". inTotal were only 39 GTOmade between 1962 and 1964. Nowadays the model is very popular and has to be paid for by tens of millions. With verve it has become a real 'Icon'.
