Michael Schumacher is one of the greatest drivers of all time, and certainly of the last 20 years. His debut at Jordan the 1991 Belgium in GP made a big impression on many team bosses even though it took only a few turns before the Jordan-Ford it broke with a defective clutch.
During his time with Benneton he grew from a race winner to a world champion. The switch to Ferrari in 1996 was a daring one and it was not until in 2000 that he was able to win his first championship. The battle with Mika Hakkinen was in very spectacular that year. Hakkinen's overtaking action on the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps is still on the minds of most autopsort fans.
Apart from this overtaking action, Schumacher with the Ferrari F1 -2000 was the better of the season. After 21 years, Ferrari was finally able to register a world championship again. In The years 2001-2004 saw three more, which were won by Michael Schumacher , Ross Brawn and jean Todt.
