Limited Edition Print: Donington GP – Auto Union shows force
The 1938 season was dominated by the Mercedes W154. The new Auto Union Type D had a supercharged 3.0 L V12 and obtained a first win at Donington Park. During the qualifying Mercedes was still ahead but during the race, Tazio Nuvolari showed his strength. He won the Donington GP with a 1.22 minute lead.
Artist John Ketchell is internationally known. He is an automotive artist who has received many assignments from both private and well known companies. When you look at Ketchell's work you see that speed intrigues him. His semi-abstract style gives us all a lot of freedom to interpret the art piece. At a young age, John was already gripped by racing, especially the Talbot-Lago GP soon became his favorite. After Art school in Preston, John soon became a professional artist.
The Limited Edition artprint comes with numbered certificate and hand drawn by the artist.
