Tom Havlasek,

was born in Brno, located in the Czech Republic. Since childhood, he has been interested in motorsport. This came about partly because he frequently visited the Brno circuit with his father. From an early age, Tom noticed that he preferred to be hands-on. At first, he mainly worked with graffiti, later changing to water-based canvas painting. Currently, his technique is mainly painting using acrylic paint, without a brush!

Philosophy

Tom has his own philosophy: 'Find an interesting photo of some classic racing sports car, choose the best part of it and create an awesome composition.' His technique is not really straightforward, he likes splashes, drops and sometimes blurs parts of his work. His favourite work is portraying riders from the 'golden age'. This is where we see a lot of this coming back.

Professional

Tom exhibited his work at a Classic show in 2013, after which he became a full-time artist from 2014. You can often find him at classic car meetings such as Spa Classic and Le Mans for inspiration and enjoyment. Vintage-speedworks is very proud to work with him
